I'm being told that if I change out the rear drums to disc brakes the rear parking brake cables need to be changed. Why won't the 63 cables work? Is it the connection at the parking brake? Do most people change to the 65/66 cable system? Is it possible to change to the 67 style? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.:)

I changed mine to 65 trailing arms and never found a way to convert the parking brake. The mounts on the frame are different, cables are different and connections are different. If you find a way please let me know.
Thanks
Sal

OK; so you can call Van Steel or not. I purchased the 65-67 disc brake conversion kit from them for my 63 and they also sent me the cable conversion kit to use. The connections are different for the disc brakes than the drum brakes so they supply new cables and everything else you need.
