Help! 79 C3 tach

Help!
I have a 79 C3. The tach stopped working-stuck at 2000RPM. Any thoughts before I start pulling the instument panel out.

79 C3 tack

I do not have any experience with the C3's electric tack. I do know that there is a inline filter that can be replaced and the electric board cards for the electric tack are available from the Corvette parts venders.

Stuck at 2000 RPM, That was the engine speed when it stopped? Could be as simple as a bad ground or no voltage to the tach.
