noticed that alot of people here have 84 coupes. especially with battery issues. Are battery issues common in 84's???? Blueslady

I don't think so. Unless you have a short somewhere.
Been using the same battery for the last 3 years.
But I use a cutoff switch, when car is not in use.

The battery itself is not normally the problem, but there are a couple of items that can cause the battery to go dead...most often the memory circuit in the instrument cluster that stores odometer info.
