84 Transmission shift prom

HI there,

There is no shift point changes with a new prom. The 4L60 that is in your vehicle is actually ONLY electrically controlled for torque converter lock up.

Shift points can only be changed by line pressure at the kick down cable or the governor.

Now, that being said, accurate diagnostics involving shift points revolves around correct line pressure readings vs throttle position sensor and load on the engine itself.

Allthebest, Paul

Still looking for chevy discontinued Part number 1226938. It was produced to help with what chevy called a low speed chuggle when shifting. Noted in a service bulletin.
