I just got all new vacuum lines. Before I cut and install them all, I just want to know that I have them all in the right spot. I need to know where they all run to.
There are 2 outlets on the pas side of the plenum, one outlet on the EGR, one outlet on the fuel pressure reg thing, there is a 3 way connector piece that hooks up a few together. few go to the crusie control. one from the throttle body. anyway you know what i mean.

thank you so much if you look these up for me.

or if someone could just tell me were the egr vaccum line hooks up to would be great

thanx

I don't have an 86...but look on the fan shroud for the vacuum diagram. My 84 has one.

could someone with an 86 or so, just let me know where the vacuum line from the EGR runs to. I have it going to the side of the plenum. Does it matter if they are all hooked up to the exact right place?

When you find out, let me know. I have the same problem with my 85.

The line runs from the EGR, under the plenum to a solenoid valve mounted next to the coolant fitting where the thermostat is located (on the driver's side).

From the solenoid valve it goes to a fitting on the bottom of the throttle body on the driver's side.

The ECM (computer) controls the valve to apply vacuum to the EGR based on engine running conditions.

On 85's, and maybe early 86's, the solenoid valve is on the passenger's side near the back of the plenum. It's important that the vacuum line is controlled by the ECM.

Hope this helps.
