89 l98 injectors

I had my vette in the shop to find a slight miss at idle after replaceing the cap,rotor,plugs wires, iac and icm, cleaning the tb they told me I have a lean miss and all the injectors need replacing . What is a lean miss and what type of injectors do I have ?? it is a 89 with L98 and 18000 miles.

Souunds like the lean miss means an injectors is clogged. I am not surprised reither considering the low mileage.

You have 22# injectors on the car. If you can go without the vette for a few days I would remove the injectors and send them out to cruzinperformance www.cruzinperformance.com and get them flowed and cleaned.

Before doing all that try a bottle of Lucas injector cleaner...the stuff does wonders...

My 89 with 47,000 miles does the same thing. I think your idle is probably just normal.

Does anyone have an L-98 with a glass smooth idle? I suspect that most vettes have a little idle roughness, after all they are tuned for power and are not Buicks!

I think that if your injectors were clogged, you would notice poor performace when running under high loads, not at idle.

My vette did idle rough till I ran a bottle through ...now it is as smooth as can be. One bottle treats 100 gallons of gas, one ounce per 10 gallons...but you can add more I think I started with
6 ounces for 20 gallons....
