'91 3rd (center) brake light

Hi all,
Need help on center brake light. Replaced bulb still not working.
Please help!

3rd brake light ( C-4 )

The line in question is a light blue ( in either case).. that line will have voltage when the pedal is pressed. I assume the other brake lights DO function. The only other oh by the way.. is C-209 a 15 pin connector below the right side instrument panel.

OR

the ground up there is FUNKY!

test light time.. but run another ground to the batt!

Only where the ground comes from

and the obvious.. where the bulb is.


But you are correct, the circut is the same.

So for a coupe( 3rd brake light)

G-401 is behind the pass side rear pillar ( where the seatbelt strap TOP is) and the HALO connector is near there too!

Third Brake Light

I had the same problem about a year ago. It end up being the switch on the brake pedal. Its a double pole switch so your brake light will still work but the 3rd brake light will not.

3rd brake light

In the parts book 87-92 use the same switch and 93-96 is a differant part number. Mine is a 91.
