I have 50K miles on car and want to change the optispark before have any problems. Has any used either the Dynaspark or the MSD? Wich one is better? I have also thought about using a new GM and doing the converison on it. Any thoughts?:confused

I wanna see one of these ZR-1s with an Optispark
:)

No LT5 has an Optispark ign, only LT1 and LT4, but if it were me, I'd use the MSD.

Fortunately, our Z's don't have to worry about an Optispark or any of it's problems. There is an ignition module that is bolted to the underside of the plenum and controls 4 coil packs which provide the energy to the plugs. You shouldn't have much problem with this unless you start trying to wash your motor. All of these things are under the plenum and above the valley in the block.

Hope this helps.

Dynasparks the best, I have one on my 94 with the upgraded vaccume lines, one T's off the manifold and the other just plugs into the airduct. Its best to do wires and plugs at the same time since your digging that far into it.
