93 Brake pedal very hard to push

Finally got the car on a 2 post lift and got undeer it. I removed and cleaned every ground we could find. Spent a little time just looking to see if there was anything else that might need some more attention. Got it off the lift started it up and.......Service ASR light still on. So the next question is... Is there anyway to reset the Service ASR light? How can I do that to see if it goes off and then comes back on? I am at a total loss right now.

Looking at my FSM I see that a continuous service ASR can be caused by a bad fuse. Believe it or not the fuse for the ASR is the ENG2 fuse in the fuse block. I only suggest you check that fuse because without an FSM to tell you what that covers you might not look at it. The other systems covered by that fuse are the stop lamp cruise/brake switch, selective ride control module, air pump relay, secondary air injection bypass valve and the electronic brake and traction control module. I believe the engine would run if this fuse is blown. I was going to send you copies of the asr diagnostic sheets but I believe there are at least twenty of them and that is beyond my equipment to handle. There is a test procedure that involves removing that fuse and checking the voltage on both sides of were the fuse plugs into the fuse block. The resistance should be 5 ohms or less on both sides. If it is not then you have a ground problem with circuit 439 which I think is a pink/black wire from the fuse block to the ignition switch. Keep in mind I am not electronically blessed and some of what I have said may not be quite right.:chuckle

John,
I am way from beyond being blessed electrically. Its getting to the point of having to pay someone more qualified then I to fix this problem. I may look into it more today and hope something jumps out at me saying here is the problem fix me. Spoke with a guy yesterday that said he can fix anything on a vet but he sure didnt walk under mine when I asked for help. I keep hoping to find and fix it but I am almost at the point of getting it up to Junkie and having him do what he does best. Total frustration has set in and I am at wits end right now.
