I was asked last night about what I thought could be causing the car for no reason just quit. When the attempt to start was made it cranked a little bit then started. To me it sounds fuel realted. The car is a 93 and has only 32k on it. What I told her was I thought it was either fuel pump or fuel filter. I told her to first change the filter. What do anybody think?

Why guess when a little basic testing will give you a way better chance of fixing the problem? Use the link below for instructions on how to pull any stored fault codes using just a paper clip.

Recovering the C4 ECM Codes - www.c4vettes.com

If there are codes in memory use the information as a first step to diagnosis, for best results follow the troubleshooting fault tree in the factory service manual.
If no codes are recorded install a fuel pressure gauge to determine if the fuel system is suspect, again the FSM will be your best guide even if no codes are stored, simply use the "Symptoms" section to guide diagnosis.
The parts replacement/guess method of diagnosis is seldom cost effective.

Let's move this into the C4 Tech section where it should receive more attention.
