Question: 94 LCD Display Faint

Just got a sweet Very Clean 94 Vette in Trade.
LCD Display will not darken, light, or able to adjust contrast. Shows very lil info, easier at dark of course. Can I repair LCD? Loose connections? Or Factory Flaw? Help with respect !!!!

First off, Welcome to CAC, Wes . As far as your dim display, they can be repaired and many times, as I understand, it is cold solder joints. Whether or not that is something you can do or not, depends on your abilities and experience. Here’s a video explaining.

For what its worth, I got an 89 in 2005, drove it for a year or 2 with a very, very dim display. One afternoon, I was kinda frustrated looking at it and gave the display a couple firm raps with the ends of my fingers..It brightened up immediately and I was able to adjust the contrast..It was still working fine when I got rid of the car 2 years ago.
