95 window motor replacement

my driver door window motor is frozen and will not move when smacked with a hammer. the factory shop manual says that the window must be removed first by lowering it to access the mount nuts. after the window is removed, to lower the regulator 3/4 of the way down. the shop manual doesnt take in account for a seized motor. any suggestions on how to replace this motor? also the manual says to use a window nut removal tool, j 22055. anybody know what this tool is? is it just a torx or spanner nut socket of some kind? thanks for your help

Window regulator

The regulator refers to the linkage that moves the window up & down. Can you remove the motor attachment? Then lower the regulator to get it out of the way.
PS I did a similar job on a '95 Blazer (I think it's the same motor) and had to drill out the rivets that hold the motor in place. Support the window because it's going to fall when the motor comes out. Use appropriate bolts on the new motor rather than rivets, that way it won't die again, heh, heh.
I think the motor was about $100.
"Newer" GM cars (perhaps the '95 Corvette????) have plastic clips that hold the motor in and replacement is much easier.
