I've recently picked up a 96 LT1 Auto, my first vette.
Mileage now is around 63,000.

I've just changed the oil and filter (Mobil 1 & Fram, respectively) and cut the box and added a K&N air filter.

What other things should I be doing to the car regarding maintenance items at this mileage?

Thank you...BBT :v

Do the trans oil change. Follow the book that came with the car, it's detailed on what you need to do.

is that all?

Thanks Robert. Is that really all that I need to do at this mileage?

The car didn't come with any books, but I've picked up the Haynes Repair Manual and the Chiltons one too.

Here's some guidelines:

30,000 Inspect Drive Belt, Cooling system service, spark plug wire inspection, air filter replacement. I don't see anything for 60,000 just redundant of 30,000 mile service. I mentioned trans oil, change it and every 30K in my opinion. It's the cheapest insurance you can get. I don't go through a big deal with this, I'll drop the pan, change the filter and top off the oil. If you want you can add a drain plug to the tran pan and drain some more oil off in a week or two and replenish it with new. Do this a few times and ya got clean oil. Another way is to loosen a line that goes to the trans cooler and add oil as it pumps it out. You can do the whole change in one service this way. If you do decide to add the drain to the tran pan be careful of placement as you don't want it hitting anything when you go put the pan back. Good Luck!
