the a/c wasnt blowing cold so I went and bought a 134a 5oz tune up kit, it now blows cold and the low ( suction line ) is real cold and high side is real hot but I dont notice the compressor cycling, whats the odss the 5oz overcharged the system?

Not sure about this, but I think your system has a high pressure cutout switch. Maybe someone else here knows your system better. With a high pressure cutout switch the sytem should shut down if it is overcharged too much.

a properly charged system won't cycle. If it's good and cold at idle you added about the right amount.
make sure the caps are good and tight on the schrader valves, that's where a lot of systems leak.
If it's overcharged by much it won't cool good.
run the rpm up to about 1800 for a minute and see if the compressor cycles. if it does you need more gas. if it doesn't it should be good til next summer!
