Advice please. Casting # on the block for a 1957 Corvette. I took a look in the "Corvette by the Numbers" book last night and I could have sworn that it stated another number for the block casting #. Is the number 3731548 correct? Is there a misprint in the "BOOK"? or am I just old and can't see. Regards

Hi Mike,

According to my NCRS Pocket Guide the block casting number for 1957 vettes is 3731548

548 is the only block that was used in '57 Corvettes.

Well, as it turned out.....I apparently cannot read as the number was in the book after all. Thanks for your help with the answers and I shall obtain a new pair of glasses to assist me in the future.
