Is the front air dam on the Aero Body a Callaway specific part or can it be replaced with the stock C4 part?

Thanks,
HoldHard

The front air dam is fastened to the stock cross member that runs side to side (in front of the radiator) and is attached between the nose frame extensions. A stock C4 air dam will work in this scenario, however, mine appears taller than "standard". This may be an early vs. late C4 issue with the height of the air damn. Some more members willl be able to chime in and add some more input.

Don't feel bad if your's is scraped up! On the C4's that I've owned or driven... scraping that air damn seems to be synonomous with owning a C4 !! They are just too low!! It does look great though!

On my car it looks like the factory center with the ends rounded off.

Were the rounded ends a weight saving performance improvement? :L Why are they rounded? Mine be square like ZR1 taillights.

Dude ! it's the difference between going 200 and 254.6 mph:_rock

For 'standard' corvettes: the corvette plant changed the air dams over the years with the model changes. My '87 had the blockier, larger style... '93 and '96 had the shorter style with the rounded off edges.

from this discussion, it sounds like Callaways have the factory air dam from their respective model year.

I was wondering about that. Is the rest of that body kit included with that air damn to obtain the extra 50 mph ? :s
