3.73 gear is too much gear for a TPI long runner car. 3.07 is optimal and at most a 3.54/3.45 gear.

please explain

Fro Tntcorvette...Id like to know why you think 3:73 gears
wont work well with improve air flow...long runneres, etc.
Right now, I'm running the 3:73 (replaced 2:59s) and it works
beautifully. Why would the addl HP F---it up?
Im thinking of doing just that.

u might want to consider the hooker aero chamber muffler kit for the l-98 corvette
i installed them on my 86L-98 and i loveit, my best friend has an 85 L-98 with flowmasters, and he also agrees that the hooker aero chambers sound better and without the drone and interior resonance and throatier than the flowmaster with a similar but more distinct sound , the kit is about 200 bucks comes with welded mufflers look identical to flowmasters, except these mufflers have a powder black kinda crackle finish with 3 inch dual outlets and the outlet tips are chrome .kit comes with the brackets and the mufflers as well as the conectors to the exhisting y-pipe but just have the muffler shop install them for u cost u about 50bucks or so .
