Hi All,
Assuming I need to replace my ECM (see my other post "87 engine quits") I've seen a number of aftermarket ECM's in the various catalogs and local parts shops in the $85 - $100 range. The local GM dealers want just over $200 for a Delco unit.
Is the Delco unit worth the extra money?
Also, since I did get a MEM/CAL fault also, should I upgrade to an aftermarket PROM or go with a factory replacement. My car is only very lightly modified, Dynomax SS mufflers with a cross-over, K&N filter. I don't have a plans to heavily modify it, one day I'll trade "up" to that '59 I've always wanted.
Thanks in advance,
wojo
