I'm looking for an alpine or equivalent harness for the factory cd changer input for a 1999 C5.. any input is appreciated.

Thanks

Sorry I dont understand what your trying to accomplish but I can tell you contact crutchfeilds they have whats ever needed to adapt to what ever is made

HI there,
If you are looking for the factory harness, there are 2 pieces, which one do you need????
The one from the radio to the lower toe board fuse and relay center???
Or the one from the center to the rear changer????
The factory system is a Pioneer engineered changer.

Basically my 99 didnt come with a cd changer. I was wondering how hard it was to put in an aftermarket changer and if they have a harness or something of that nature that would allow simple plug and play to the stock head unit...

Hi there,
Well, you have 2 options. First, you can get an aftermarket that will NOT be controlled by the radio that you have in the car now.
Or, you can purchase the factory replacement unit, and the installation kit that is sold by GM dealerships.
The GM kit takes about 3 hours to correctly installed, and if done correctly, will look exactly like the factory units, and function the same.
If you would like the part numbers, please let us know, c4c5:hb

a trip to the dealer and a wallet full of cash (Juste Kidding!)..... the bracket, cd changer, magazine, and wiring harness. Good luck

Hey Knight , it's easy as pie . I did my 2000 , with a little help from the folks on this forum . No problems . Cliff
