Hey guys,

Am considering an after market oil pan for my '85 corvette project. The motor is a 400 sbc w/driver side dipstick. A stock replacment pan is cheap, but not sure if its OK with a car that can see hard hook and high speed corners. I'm not planning on building a monster, but want a reliable motor.

Should I go with the stock pan and pickup, or, spend a few bux? IF so, what brands fit the corvette?

Thanks.

I used a 6 quart GM 400 cid pan on the 415 I built for my 86 Vette. I got it from Scoggins-Dickey.
