Forgive me if this question has been asked and answered in the past. I'm new to the Forum just today. I replaced the air filter on my 94 LT1 over the weekend. Now my Service Engine light is on. In the 10 years I've owned the car this is the first time I've ever seen it on. So far the car is running fine - good as ever. Drove it around all weekend and it ran great. What could this light mean in relation to a new air filter and what can I do to get the service light to go off? Thanks so much for any help.

Hi Jim!
I can't help with your technical question but no matter because I see vetteoz has the situation firmly in hand.

Hello Jim, you probably loosen a sensor when you put in the new air filter. Do a visual inspection in an attempt to locate the loose terminal. If you can't find it take the vehicle to Autozone and ask them to scan the vehicle for codes (ITS FREE) they will give you a print out of the code and erase it if you want. Then shoot me a line and I will tell you (if need be ) how to check the affected circuit.

What Vetteoz said, and those code readers only work for 96 and later OBDII vehicles. The 94-95 Corvettes have OBDII port but are running OBDI software. So no go, on the parts store code reader.
