Just a query that has popped up since I have fitted alloy heads.
Has any body else had the problem of the left hand R/cover hitting the wiper motor. My engine has Patriot heads, and tall R/covers because I run 1.6 roller rockers.
I need to know some type of fix for this problem,eg smaller wiper motor etc.

Thanks :confused

All "tall R/covers" aren't created equal. I think you're going to have an easier time if you change the rocker covers to a set that still offer enough clearance but don't interfere with the wiper motor.

If the clearance problem with the stock covers was minor, try a set of extra thick rocker cover gaskets and the stock covers.

Will happen if you have old style perimeter bolt covers because they come straight up from the gasket surface at the end and don't set in like the centerbolt ones.
I just ran a cheap set of tall metal covers and massaged the end to suit. Now I have swapped to centerbolt heads am running same height cover ; no probems
