On my 65 white conv with blue interior. Should the paint on the console match the paint on the dash (clock radio area)?

I had the console redone by Corvettes Specialties of MD, great work by the way and that color which I'm guessing is bright blue is lighter than the dash. I have stripped the dash and I'm ready for paint but really want to get it right. Could I just be dealing with an aging of the paint issue?

If you are asking what an NCRS judge will say, post the question at www.ncrs.org.

The dash tag identifies the interior color. The paint normally gets lighter with (sun bleach) aging. If the dash is original - scrub it with strong soap. My bright blue dash and pads looked almost green until I scrubbed off 20 years of dirt and cigarette smoke. The original pads are bright blue now, but I have a navy blue tuck and roll job covering the front edge.
