OK questions. I can get them for $490 for the set, plus the guy is located 30 minutes south of me so I can save on shipping. he wants to charge $60 for his costs to ship to him, a little wierd but, still $550 for a set is not bad.
offset is 56mm so I would need spacers. Sounds good to me so far. Now question is: polished rims? What kind of maintenance am I looking at? Do I need to clean and polish every month? need help?

Not weird, he probably doesn't have them in stock.. many vendors claim to stock an item "yea it's in stock" when in reality the product is on the shelf at an independent warehouse or mfg's warehouse. So don't be shocked.

Get the powerball from Mother's. This is a kit with a spongeball that attaches to your 18v drill and some mother's metal polish and buff away. You'll have them polished in no time. Once a month seems extreme but to each his own. Just got my powerball yesterday and was quite impressed. Watch out for sharp corners though. On Z06 rims you might have that kind of problem and could possibly eat up the powerball in short order. At $24 a pop its kind of spendy but what a timesaver!:upthumbs

So I will have to polish them once in a while? What's a good schedule to polish?-

Whenever they start to look dull or spots is a good time to polish them. Aluminum rims will last a long time between polishing. Its just a matter of when they start to look that dull no shine look that its time to whip out that powerball and spend 5 minutes per wheel and be done with it. When you're done with the wheels than its time to get onto those other troublesome areas of the suspension. You'll be happy you did and I always get compliments on the way my suspension looks. Try that with another car and see how that goes over????

Good info my friend. Thanks!

I got my ZR1 replicas from them. I called and tried to arrange pick up instead of paying for shipping. I was told they didn't stock those there, they would be shipped from a warehouse. However, when I got them, they came from the same address I called. But, I got them to my door for under $400, so it still was a great deal. I was kinda peaved about being screwed on the shipping. I do like the wheels though, they look great.

Boy the prices sure are great. But how is the quality ?????

Thanks
Fred

sucks that he's tacking on extra $$$ for nothing. but I guess they are still a good price.
And Just like fred asked,"how's the quality?"

Oh, so they "drop ship" them from the warehouse?

Yes, how is the quality? I may switch out the white rims on my '88 for some Z06 or ZR-1 rims. Need to let those calipers see the world!:L
