I have a 94 and I just purchased an Antenna Mast (the part that extends and the long nylon geared piece that goes up inside) anyway of course the guy I purchased it from makes it sound so easy to install, can anyone give me some pointers here on how to install it.......? When I turn on my radio the antenna goes up about 6" and then stops and won't go down at all unless I push it with my hand, but it will come back up (6") when I turn it back on. The docs show a locking nut and as we all know the corvette does not have a locking nut at the base of the mast like most cars. Anyway any help would be greatly appreciatie.........
thanks

Well since the 94' dosen't have a locking ring, I wonder maybe if it has to be done from the bottom? I tried haveing someone turn on the raido and I pulled on the antenna mast but I could never get it to come out? :hb thanks

Caddy,
I did my 95 a few months ago and had the same problem. I bought the original GM mast kit. It comes with a socket tool to remove the lock not. Yours should have a lock not, but it it down inside the body about 1/2 an inch. You can't really even see it. If you use the socket provided in the kit, it comes out not problem. I removed the lock nut, turned on the radio and the antena came right out.
