anti theft alarm

I need some advice on my 1978 vette, I blow my courtesy light fuse often which i think happens when I lock driver door. The anti -theft alarm doesnt work when I try it and it seems to be related to proplem. Can I take door panel off and disconnect wiring to door lock. The clock and other interior lights seem fine. ANY OPINOINS THANKS DAVE

in late 75 they switched the alarm from the fender to the drivers door key.you should be able to take the door panel off and clip off the lead to the key.mike
