Question: anti theft control module 1985

Does anyone know who is selling a new theft module for a pre vats 1985. I pulled mine out finally after trouble shooting all summer. So far everything works fine without it (no horn blowing and it starts). I thought I read somewhere that the car won't do certain things with the module gone, but that doesn't seem to be. I'm not sure why I could never disarm the security system by turning the door lock counterclockwise, so I figure the module could be bad.
