i'm having trouble with the anti-theft alarm, i didn't know it was working, somehow today the car didn't want to start, i hear a clicking that comes from a relay on the back compartment (passengers side). how can i bypass the system?, the problem is that the car doesn't have the key cilinder from the door so i don't know what else i can do to disarm it. i have a 1981 AT.

I believe if you lock/unlock the driver side door,it will disarm the anti-theft device,if this doesn't w2ork,there is a relay under the center console that need to be unplugged,if you open the drivers side up it is somewhere around the shifter.

good luck!

i unplugged the center console relay but the car doesnt start, i hear the clicking from the solenoid in the back compartment

sounds more like a weak/dead battery or a (going)bad starter....
