Any helpful hints to replace antenna cable?

I need to replace the antenna cable on my 81 vette. For those of you that have done that, do you have any helpful hints, especially with getting the cable thru the grommet in the rear fender well area? Looks like that could be a bit tricky.

Take a razer knife and slit the rubber grommet lengthwise.

One thing I found out the hard way, the GM cable with correct part number for my 72 was the wrong length. I guess somewhere along the way they changed the part but not the number! I got one but it was very close in length. I had the dash out when I was doing it also.
