I just completed a rear suspension rebuild. I installed a new fiberglass rear spring,(i think its rated at 330Lbs). well after getting the car back on its wheels the rear is about 3-4 Inchs higher then it was originally?.
Question does it take time to settle?. or do I now have to get longer spring bolts?(to adjust ride height?). I didnt know that the fiberglass spring would set the ride height higher?.
I did use new rubber mounts for the spring bolts, every thing else is ureathaine. Im using new bilstien shocks (I dont think these would raise the rear?). Ive added a new rear sway bar where there was none before. also new T-arm ureathaine and had the diff rebuilt, along with the T-arms bearings. .and new Spicer U-joints. . :w tks all

This is a very typical fault of aftermarket springs and in particular the fibreglass units. It may settle an inch or two but most people end up using longer bolts to regain the correct ride height.

None of the other components affect ride height.
