Since I show my Corvette in judged shows, I'm particularly anal about the wheels. It is always a job keeping them clean, shiny and relatively brake dust free. I tried a new product...Armor All Wheel Protectant...after reading many reviews, and I have to say that I'm a real fan!!

After totally cleaning and drying the wheels, I sprayed a light coat of this protectant on the wheels, barrels and calipers. After 200+ miles, the wheels are incredibly clean with almost no brake dust. What is there is easily wiped off. This is definitely going to be a part of my detailing kit from now on!!

Nice to have you endorse the product; there has been a fairly long thread on the CF about it and apparently it is a great product. I was going to purchase a can last week, but it was $9 per can at Checker, Wal Mart, and Auto Zone. I have a fairly dusty road between my driveway and paved road, so I don't think that it will do the job for me. This may be Armor Alls only product that I would use.

Barrett,

A dusty road is even more reason to give this product a try...in my opinion! It could be worth the $9 just to be able to lightly brush away that dust.

P.S. I paid $7.99 per can at a local Target. Bought 2 cans and was eligible for a one can rebate.

Thanks Elaine; with 3 vettes, I will go thru a lot of cans just to keep the dust off the wheels, but they don't make a similiar product that keeps the dust off the body. I get so much dust on the body that the wheel dust is not noticeable. I always like it to rain so that the dust is suppressed for a while and I can drive without raising a cloud of the stuff. When I leave my driveway, I paraphrase an old radio show: "a firery red corvette with the speed of light, a cloud of dust, and a hearty HiYo ....away." But I rarely wear a mask, use silver bullets, or travel at the speed of light on the dirt road.
