Has anyone had experience with the replacement T-Tops sold by Thompson Astrotop? I understand they are acrylic, not glass. How do they compare with the actual glass tops?

How about fit and scratching?

Looked at the one-piece top they sell but from various postings, have decided to stay away from it.

Thanks

I have one and I like it. If you do get some scratches they buff out easy.
Very easy to install and fits in the stowage area.

Astro tops

I bought an Astro top several years ago for my C4. As far as the fit and finish....I have no complaints, but I do have a couple of issues with it.

1) The edge trimming is rubber instead of metal like the original. When you store it, the brackets deform the rubber. It's always gotten it's normal shape back after a few days of being back in place on the car, but I wonder if eventually it will tear the rubber.

2) Astro Tops recommends that you not use an internal sunblock (temporary for those hot days), other than the mesh screen type.

These things might not be an issue with a C3 and t-tops.

Good luck,
Dennis
