Folks,

I am trying to trace the original owner and the second owner of my 1963 SWC. I have been exchanging emails with Bill Braun, who is an NCRS member who resides in Switzerland. He is trying to help me trace the original owner of the car, Heiner (Heinrich) Kundig, who lives in Switzerland.

The second owner, Bill McDougall, was a club ice hockey player, who played in Canada and Switzerland. He purchased the car in Switzerland and then imported it to Canada. I know that he retired from hockey last year. What I don't know, is if he retired in Switzerland or in Canada. If he retired in Canada, I was wondering if anyone on this forum would be able to help me out with an email or snail mail address, phone number, etc.

when u say hockey player..do u mean pro hockey player? there is a bill mcdougall who played for the Leafs, now lives in durham region.

The Bill McDougall I am searching to talk to was born in Mississauga, Ontario on 10/8/66 and played in the ECHL/AHL/IHL/NHL/Foreign, and I believe he retired in 2002. He holds numerous scoring records in the Canadian junior/senior leagues, prior to playing in the ECHL, etc.

If you have any contact info for the Bill McDougall you reference, could you post please? Or contact him for me to see if he used to own a black 1963 SWC.

i think i may actually have his hockey card from a few years back..i will look it up for u. i also saw a bill mcdougall on city tv sometime back at a charity hockey game. i will see if i can come up with some info for u.

thanks for the response! I have around 10 cards of Bill McDougall - bought them on ebay! that is how I know where he was born, etc.

I know he last played in Switzerland, I just don't know where he retired. Really want to talk/exchange email with him about my 1963 SWC

i think i found someone who actually might know this guy. in toronto there is a tv station called CITY TV. they have a web site www.citytv.com go to there sports reporting page and email John Gallagher or Jim Mckenny [ an old nhl'er]
These two guys are the ones that might know info on the man ur looking for.

thanks for the input! will let you know if it works out!

btw - what area of the country are you in? I am driving to Clyde, Alberta this summer for a family reunion. I drove there four years ago in my 1999 Vette and had a blast meeting some of my Canadian relatives for teh first time! I will be driving my 2001 Z06 this time.

that map aint right..courtland is down in southwestern ont. like near london. your about 400 miles out by that map.

Oops... Mapquest says Courtland is by Hearst ON...
Here is an updated one (Showing Location by London)

A Bill McDougall, born 8/10/66 in Miss. Ont, played for Team Canada (Spengler Cup in 98-99). You can e-mail a contact at the Canadian Hockey Association, maybe.

Canadian Hockey Association

It looks like he played for Tampa Bay Lightning and Edmonton Oilers, so try them too.

HockeysFuture.com had an article that mentioned Bill McDougall playing in Switzerland. He was just mentioned in passing, but maybe someone there can help out too.

And finally, the Atlanta Knights had a Bill McDougall. They have a "Where are they now?" page, all though it looks outdated.

Piet,

I see you are from Edmonton, Alberta - I will pass through Edmonton on my way to Clyde for my family reunion. If you see a black Z06 in your neck of the woods in late July that will be me with the Maryland license plates!

IMP,

that is the Bill McDougall I am looking for! I have contacted the Swiss teams that he played for and they all say, yeah we remember him but he retired! Well, doh, I know he retired!

FYI - I am trying to contact him to get any information on my 1963 SWC, which he owned prior to me!

it's a 'J'!

JMP, JMP, not IMP. Crap, I keep meaning to change my id (it's my initials right now) but it always slips my mind. Not to mention I can't think of a good moniker.

:D :D :beer

Btw, you're not the first to make that mistake, so I won't hold it against you! ;)

jmp

sorry about that! didn't really pay any attention, but now that you pointed it out it was a j!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
