Question: Auto trans lever lamp

Hi,does a C4 have a lamp in the centre consol to illuminate the postion of the auto trans selectioned postion ,if so is the bulb replacement easy?

To get to the lamp open the center consul lid. There are two screws at the back of the cover that is over the shifter. They are located under little tabs of the carpet and take a 7MM socket to remove them. Finally there is a screw in the bottom of the front cup holder. You should be able to move the cover up high enough to get to the bulb. When you reassemble don't forget to get the shift lever pin back into the bracket for the shift position locator.

Bulb found but that's not the problem

Hi guys thanks for your help,I have now checked the bulb and it's ok so I will have to try to follow the wiring to look for a break or poor connection,it doesn't look fun but hey nothings impossible,has anyone else had this problem is there an area worth checking out first?
