I'm with you on this. Although I've never really timed it - I honestly think we can lower or raise the C5 tops in under thirty seconds. I'm guessing the C6 tops are pretty much the same - so the extra $2 grand seems a little silly.

Only ONE advantage to an auto top. You don't have to get out of the car to lower or raise the top. That's it! I agree it's not worth $2k.

There was a guy at the Lonestar Vette event in 04 with a retractable FRC but the conversion was like $10,000.00!

It was only $107.60 RPO 473, first available on the '56 Vette

At the time $107.60 was a waste of money .As the two grand is a waste today.But don't you somewhat wish you had one of the few built in 56 sitting in your drive today.
