Hi all
just got back from visiting Baby in the shop today.
Joe has been working on the insides of the doors and the bottom of the hood. both are primed and ready to be sprayed. The top inside section of the doors get sprayed in black along with the bottom of the hood.
After he sprays the black than those areas will get masked off and the bottom inside section of the doors and door jambs on the body along with the edges of the hood will get sprayed in the milano maroon and clear coated before reinstalling on the body.
He has also finished sanding the first two coats of primer on the body and is ready to spray another 2 coats of primer. After the second 2 coats of primer are on, he sands again and will spray another coat of sealer over the primer (there is already a coat of sealer under the primer).
This second coat of sealer will be red rather than the gray color the first coat under the primer was. The red color on the sealer will make it easier when he sprays the first coats of the Milano Maroon base color. This way the base won't have to "cover up" a gray primer or have the gray color bleed thru since it will be a red sealer underneath a reddish (maroon) color base.
By the begining or middle of next week we should start seeing some color on Baby!
