Hi all

just got back from visiting Baby in the shop today.

Joe has been working on the insides of the doors and the bottom of the hood. both are primed and ready to be sprayed. The top inside section of the doors get sprayed in black along with the bottom of the hood.
After he sprays the black than those areas will get masked off and the bottom inside section of the doors and door jambs on the body along with the edges of the hood will get sprayed in the milano maroon and clear coated before reinstalling on the body.

He has also finished sanding the first two coats of primer on the body and is ready to spray another 2 coats of primer. After the second 2 coats of primer are on, he sands again and will spray another coat of sealer over the primer (there is already a coat of sealer under the primer).
This second coat of sealer will be red rather than the gray color the first coat under the primer was. The red color on the sealer will make it easier when he sprays the first coats of the Milano Maroon base color. This way the base won't have to "cover up" a gray primer or have the gray color bleed thru since it will be a red sealer underneath a reddish (maroon) color base.

By the begining or middle of next week we should start seeing some color on Baby!
:)

here are some pics of her today. Nothing too exciting to look at yet but as always I post pics with my updates on her.

Nice to see it coming along Barry. Your patience is paying off! Soon it will be time to turn the key and drive it home right? It'll come faster than you think and boy is BABY going to look sharp! Please keep the updates coming.

Hi! Barry

Car is looking GREAT! It will soon be in paint and is still February. Keep the pictures coming.

Barry,

That is great progress. You must be getting eager to drive it again.

Take care,
Brian

Hi guys

thanks for the nice words
:)

Yep, as it's getting closer now I'm starting to get more than a bit anxious to get back in her for a drive!
As long as the weather stays cold I can handle her still at the shop, but soon enough if we get that first warm beautiful spring day I'm running over to the shop to start putting the pieces back on the car myself and drive her out of there!
;LOL

LOL. almost Larry - that's why I keep going back and looking at previous pics of her so I can remember.
:)
