bad waterpump????????????

coolant is leaking from my 94 when i look under it i can see it leaking from my crossmember could this be my waterpump??or how could i tell (if possible) if it was my waterpump that was leaking without ramps or jacks,just by looking under it or under the hood.

It could be the water pump, or one of the bypass heater hoses coming off the water pump.

Best way to tell is to run your hands down the heater/radiator hoses from the highest point down (when the engine is cold and off). Feel for moisture, and even wipe with a towel if needed.

Then, feel up under the water pump housing. It it is wet/dripping there, then BINGO, you found it.

Change it right away. You may already have damage to your optispark. You may want to consider changing it as well because they tend to fail right at, or soon after getting wet.
