I did get your email regarding the Dover show but I doubt i'll make it down there. As you saw last week - Baby needs a THOROUGH detailing to clean her up. I got a lot of the interior done at the shop last Fri but the engine compartment needs a LOT of attention yet before I'm ready to show her anywhere along with the underside.
Also, she's been sitting for almost a year so before any trip that far I want to get the oil and filter changed, the valves adjusted, coolant checked, etc.
I think this Sat. will be mostly spent in the garage cleaning as much as I can and on Sun. Linda and I will be out on the boat cruise.

Sorry I was premature with the party announcement! Don't worry if you get home from your boat cruise and see burn outs and beer bottles on the front lawn...it was just a few of us getting warmed up for the big party! .

I guarantee , if u get the car friday night..you won't catch much shuteye...you'll be in your garage till the weeeeee hours of the morn....Is the garage all setup??? The last thing u want is a tool on the wall etc..to fall and hit the car..even by accident.....

Food for thought.
I am going to revamp my garage.
In order to move out non-essential (read non-vette) stuff, we are putting up a 10x10 shed outsidefor bikes, rakes, brooms, etc.
The only things hanging from the walls will be corvette posters.

Pedro, I've wanted to put up a really nice outside shed but I can't. Where I live the neighborhood community has restrictions against any type of shed so I'm stuck with the tools, garden stuff, tractors and mowers etc in the garage with the cars.

Wife and I grew up in South Jersey. Delran and Pemberton.
.........(now Mark will chime in saying that's not really south jersey )

I just hung up the phone with my painter. The car should be done around 3-4pm today!

He just finished wetsanding and buffing the hood and it's about to go back on the car and than the rear window goes in.
After that he is just going to rebuff the car again and wax it and it's ready for me to pick up.

As far as i'm concerned, this thread is done.
I'll start a new thread once she is home again and I have the pics of her sitting in my garage all completed up on my website!

What a great way to close this thread! Savor the moment and enjoy it, you've done well waiting this long but it will sure have been worth every minute when you see how fantastic BABY looks finished.
