Battery Charging Question

Hey gang. My 97 C5 has been garaged for a bit and undriven for a few months. I set my battery charger up on it tonight as the battery is dead and the car started to make all sorts of strange noises like loud clickings in the front and the back of the car and a high pitch squeel. I'm assuming it's a grounding problem but have no idea ... any idea's?

HI there,
That is normal for the dead battery, combined with a battery charger, till the battery comes up to full strength.
Once fully charged, that should stop.

Watch that battery though, automotive batteries are not designed for deep discharge although you may be lucky if it's fairly new..........
