That will work fine, it looks like a quality CTEK unit. Just make sure that the receptacle you plug it in to has 12V to it with the ignition and accessories off.

No, just keep it hooked up every time you are not using the vehicle. It is a float/maintainer tender charging unit meaning that it will shut itself down when not needed (float) and charge your battery when it is needed, "maintaining" the condition of your battery. Keeping a battery fully charged is the single best thing you can do to extend it's life.
