I don't know anything about this company when just buying something from them but beware of their promotions because they don't honor them. I went on line to place an order with them for a hood because they show on all of their advertising that they do free shipping on " ALL" orders over $199. US Orders Only and they were offering another " Today Only Promo Code "99FREE" so I sent my online order for the hood for $799.99 and it was accepted at $799.99 and $0.00 shipping and they sent me a confirmation email with no shipping . Now today they sent me another email saying that I had to pay an additional $299. for shipping. It doesn't say anywhere on their promotional page that their is shipping charges on some items. If this is a mistake then it is their mistake and if they were a reputable company they would honor it but they absolutely refuse. It shows that they can't be trusted for my business.
 
Have you contacted Corvette Mods to explain the situation? No sense bashing them if they'll stand by the free shipping offer.

it seemed simple enough to me. (Although it should be clearer) most parts over $199 already say free shipping. With the large body parts it says in the description "we will contact you with freight shipping charges after purchase is made"

That's the point . It doesn't say anywhere on the page where they have the promotion and when I used the promotional code on line and sent it in it was approved with a email confirmation that their was no shipping . Then the next day they sent another email saying that I would have to pay an additional $299. for shipping. My wife worked in retail for 26 years and she said that in any reputable company if they made a mistake in the advertising of a promotion that the company is obligated to make it right and honor the deal. In this case they absolutely refused . The purpose of this post is to warn other forum members . I wish I would have known to avoid the hassle.

You are right. It isn't clear enough and they should honor the free shipping.

Not important now. After the way they handled this and refused to do the deal I don't trust the company. I wasn't going to pay the shipping so I told them to cancel the order and I just received a notice that they refunded credit to my credit card . So there you go , they put it to bed without honoring the promotion.
 
I take it you have not actually contacted them.

I hope it's clear to you now after my last comments and my previous comments that I exhausted all talks with them and they still refused to honor it.

Everybody can bash a company because that is the easy thing to do but if you put down a story here with big holes in it (sorry it is) and I don't know you then how much credits should I give you?
So you contacted them several times explaining the problem. Did they say what the problem was (maybe they forgot to write down the code was for parts till 200 dollars?) Did they try to meet you in the middel or some other compensation? Is the 299 shipping the total shipping or did they substract the 200 dollars?

With the information you give and you not getting the free shipping call a company they can't be trusted is a little harsh I think.

Not sure what to tell you, Man in Black. It appears that you have tried to make this work and they have rejected your attempts. I can't say that I have experienced this with them myself, but I will say that this is not the first time I've heard this story about them. I want to thank you for posting your experience. Basically you have done your part in warning people to what they might experience with this vendor. If others read this and then go ahead and decide to frequent them and come up with the same or similar, situation (not saying that they will, bit IF) you can't say that you didn't try.

You do know that English is not Peer81's native language. Sometimes American English is hard to follow. And, I bet his English is a lot better than my Dutch:chuckle
