Real quick, since I'm putting '96 MY 17" wheels on my 86 (with proper spacers), can I run the larger C4 brake packages? I'm hoping to find a stock setup from a late C4 at Carlisle next week for a reasonable price. These 86 pads and rotors just scream 'wimpy'. Both my Subies have bigger pads and similar-sized rotors (with larger swept areas).

And yes, stainless steel brake lines will be added at the same time.

Thanks...

YES

And YES!

You are now good to go...BUT

The brakes might feel funny due to fluid flow problems. The proportioning valve MIGHT need to be resprung... but check it out.

And if your buying USED get a a new set of seals and re do em.

Oh but wait

I assume your getting matching rotors too!

There might be a problem if you do not.....

Ya need to check that out as well!

Well, yeah. They're what, 12" on the later C4's? I was hoping to score the calipers at Carlisle and then get Hawk pads and somebody's hardened rotors elsewhere.

OK...good

Wanted to make sure you were not gonna grab some AIR instead of rotor.
