Hello all,
Has anyone used the "one man" brake bleeding tools?
I am a bit nervous about brake work, but need to bleed them and want to try it myself.
Let me know your thoughts.

Yep. I got a one-man system from Griot's Garage. It's a nice system - but I don't like it.

I've had better luck using speed bleeders (check out this post: http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/forums/showpost.php?p=848344&postcount=11 ) --- They're like $18 for a pair, and I've been able to do a complete brake flush and bleed - good a tight, no air leaks! I have these on both my old Chevy's and swear by them.

Here's the Russell name brand version of them, but you can get the generics at Advance Auto that are just as good... http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=RUS-639530&N=700+0&autoview=sku

The Motive bleeder works about the best. Worth the $60 they cost if you plan on keeping your vette.

yep motive is the best I spend weeks and to much $ trying to bleed mine and had it done in 10 mins with my motive!!!!!

Worth the price.

On the motive bleeder make a steel plate to fit the adapter on top of it. use big "c" clamps insted. dont get them to tight, but snug. thro the chains a way.pos.
