had a significant oil leak, only under load (not leaking while at rest, aside from the residual oil dripping off the car) but not like yours (blowing smoke), I chased it down to a blown rear intake manifold seal (in one corner, actually). Would certainly seem to be worth pulling the intake manifold, the then-open gasket can tell you the story if oil is migrating into a runner.
