hi, anyone ever see these wheels on a midyear?...if so, what size and where would you get them?...i understand there are fake ones out there....i do like the look of torq thrust II's, got a set from a guy that had them on a 66 but they're too big for my 65....he thought they were 15x7's but they're 15x8's with 215/70R15 tires, hope he takes them back..they hit at the front fenders and are real tight in the rear...not sure how he got away with it, he didn't have flared fenders....also, anyone ever see billet's talladega wheels on a midyear?...thanks a bunch

I'm going with the Smoothie wheels as well. I'm going with the 17 x 7's but will need a custom backspacing of 3.5". I don't think 4" will work but maybe someone can confirm this. "Newstalgiawheels" has them for $271 each. 15 x 7's are even cheaper.

TTII's are everywhere and getting pretty boring. Cragar has a new polished alloy SS that's really nice as well. Check them out and good luck.

The only reservation I have is that 'Boyd' seems like an ******* of a guy because of the way he treats his employees. Of course some of his employees aren't very impressive either. Maybe that's just 'show' for TV appeal.

Blackmoon, Check out the thread on Boyd's wheels over on the other site.. Boyd is an ecentric a_s_s... He/his employees create some impressive pieces though... Dave..

I couldn't find it. Where was it located.
Thanks

Yep that's the one. I'm sorry I forgot that it was in the C3 section. Pat thanks for clearing that up for me... Dave...

anytime,,,,if you do go with boyds go through discount tire direct.

I checked the site and they don't offer 17x 7". 8" wheels don't fit a 63. Any suggestions? I love the new Cragar SS alloy wheel but the smallest backspacing is 4.5". Does anyone know if ZR1 wheels come in smaller widths or of anyone who has resized them.
Thanks

Boyd

Thanks for that Pat, you should have posted the one
that shows the wheels they sent me.

thats why i posted it,some guys have good luck some dont like what happened to you,.at least you go it resolved.Blackmoon, you have to call them for what you want and theyll get it in the sizes you need, any brand pretty much, not just boyds.

81LT4,
I can't find your post. Can you post a link.

I called Boyds. The backspacing on the Boyds is too large and they won't change or custom a set. They will do a custom wheel starting at $1,500. Ya right!
