On a stock C4 it looks o.k. but I think on a modified C4 (i.e. rims, lowered, etc) it would look great.

I am going to get my car painted this winter and add a set of Greenwood hood louvers to vent the engine compartment.

What do you all think???

How about a picture with the lights turned off?

They look way better than the toad eyes when the standard lights are on. When they are off they look more business like than the stock closed doors.

Nice overall effect.

When I'm ready to get the ride painted, I'd like to go that route, too. You can get the exact same lights (even the same pictures) from Zip Products also. Guess Breathless and Zip get them from the same place. Beware if you go to www.zip-corvette.com and see them advertized for $499.00 vs $999.00 at Breathless. They seem to be very confused over there. The ad reads the same as Breathless, even the same mis-spelled words, but the heading says Auxilary Lights, which would be the ones in the license plate area. I called and tried to get a salesman to listen to what I'm sure is mis-print on their part but all he could do was read from the cataloge and utter 'duh' a few times. I was all ready to buy them until I realized I probably wouldn't get what I ordered.

If they did not look like an afterthought I would say yes.

I mean, if you look it looks like a plexiglass cover to fit the entire headlight opening, but yet the light cavities are body colored. If the back 1/2 of the clear plaexiglass was either body colored or not even there, I think it wuld look like it belonged, not look an add on.

I still like the Lights johnnyvettes has on his.

quick and poor Photochop

here is What I think looks 100x better with the same lights

You're right, it does look 100% better that way. The lights from C5west have the plexi on top just like this but not smooth with the hood. Their instructions show masking it off right behind the lights and painting to match the hood, which makes a huge difference. And yes, Johnny's lights are the best, but cutting the hood?:pat

Good point. I do like Johnnyvettes headlights the most.

I have not made up my mind yet so we shall see.

Jeff, nice improvement. I thought they were OK before but there was something a bit industrial, or police car looking about them that I couldn't put my finger on. You fixed that.

I think the setup would also look a bit better it some of the clear were eliminated on the driving light cover in the bumper.

The touchup does look better. When I first saw the unmodified photo, I thought it looked like a Nissan 300ZX. How about a kit to put the headlights in the bumper like the Rick Mears/Shinoda kits? Are there any out there?

I've searched high and low but can only find Breathless and C5west. The mods for the C5s look a lot better. You'd think there might be some industrious individual out there who could come up with a good, simple, 'cost effective' bolt on for the C4.
Cost effective being the choice words here.:Steer

well it looks like most people do not like the BPP headlight system. I have not seen one in person and I think that will finalize if I like it or not.

Not the best roadway illumination performance.
Will fog up on rainy humid days.
May accumulate dust inside.
May be hard to aim.

o

They need to make plate lights like that for the C-3.
Now that would be trick!

Here in the United State of Texas is doesn't matter what you drive. You still gotta have a front plate. They wanta get you comin' and goin'. :(

Interesting look, but it screams 300z to me.
I liked the quad headlight setup for the C3's alot.

And how do they justify $1000 for those?

Nup, looks crap!

Makes her look like a rice burner!

Too Nissan for me.

Tony

The headlights look hideous.

But, I want the hood loovers!!!!

lenses are from a 96 chev truck uses 9005-6 bulbs
much improved visability. I'm sure you can find something that fits a C4

Very much better!!!

Thanks for the tip vossvette! (I think those 9005-6 bulbs could work)

from a previous post

OK..I'll say it, and I'm sure there will be opposing opinions...
The C4 is a beautiful design. It is both atheletic and "stacked " where it counts.
With very few exceptions, any attempt to change the look usually ends up lookinglike a an expensive street whore.
The digital dash, though sometimes troublesome, is part of the asthetic beauty of the car. Fix it! Its part of the reason you bought the car.
All those extranious body parts like spoilers, ground effects and crap like thatreally cheapins the look as well as lessens the heritage factor.
Nice paint , sharp wheels, snazzy pipes are all you need!
OK; I'm done with my rant.
