Brake lights

I have no brake lights right now, they worked friday and now do not. Checked and replaced fuse and bulbs, turn indicators work, running lights good, backup lights good but no brakes still. ?????

Check the SL ground wire at the rear (should be under the left end of the rear cross member), both stop light grounds get tied together then go to the chassis. Remove it and clean the connector and the frame. Also could be a bad SL switch on the brake pedal.

Check the switch at the pedal, mine got misaligned when I replaced the power booster and it wasn't engaging. It should line up with a metal L bracket attached to the pedal. It doesn't take much to be off. Test it by pressing the switch versus the pedal. if the lights work now, there is a little bit of ajustment allowed in the bracket that holds the switch to get it in proper alignment.
If that doesn't work, check your grounds at the switch and the tail lights.

I ended up replacing my brake switch.
some times they would work and sometimes they wouldn't
I was afraid someone might rearend me :ugh :ugh

The brake switch located underneath the brake pedal or the one at the left rear of the car?

the brake lite switch is in front of the pedal arm,up under the dash.
I don't know of one on the left rear of the vette.
