Hi all, I have been reading many posts here for a while now, and love the site! Learning a lot! I had a '68 conv. which I sold about 8 yrs ago and now I have an '85 auto coupe which I bought about 9 months ago and love it.

The car has always had a funky smell which could not be masked well, and after finding a few acorns in the headlight areas, I figured that somewhere existed an an abandoned mouse nest. Wrong! One of the little sob's came out of the dash onto the floor 2 wks ago while driving....that gets your attention!

Anyhow, I decided to dismantle the interior to find the nest, and today I did. One more reason to hate the breadbox! Inside is the perfect shape and size for a mouse nest, complete with dog food, acorns, and insulation.
Cleaned it out, shop vacked it and sprayed the crap out of it with lysol. No chewed wires thank God. I will probably get rid of the box soon, but for now, success!:beer

That is crazy, glad you figured it out though.
