The size is 'don't need a fitting'. There are many posts on this. I like the end result of a cool to the touch throttle body. The air goes through so fast that it may not help much, but heating it just prevents the butterfly from freezing up when you drive your vette in Antarctica.
Take the hose off the TB (mind the OPTI) from the radiator T and put it on the silver tube under the plastic cover over the runners. Voila!
Elegantly simple. I cringe when I think of the money wasted on kits.
