C1 Are the windshield & door posts pot metal?

Are the windshield posts and door posts on a 61 all made of pot metal? :confused

I know for sure as a fact those same parts on my 62 are pot metal. but if your holding a windsheild corner post in you hand,it feels like solid steel.

can you use a magnet to determine which is pot metal vs chrome steel? I realize the SS you have a different problem in that regards.....but what is the easiest way to determine SS vs pot metal vs chrome steel (this last one I can do with a magnet).
